Ridgemont Living!

Dear Future Ridgemont Court Homeowners, 

It is bittersweet to write this letter, as we reflect on just how much we have loved our home at 4211 Ridgemont Ct. When we first found this house, we were drawn to the breathtaking views, the neighborhood swimming pool, and the peaceful cul-de-sac that gave us a sense of security and community. This home quickly became a special place for us, filled with unforgettable moments and cherished traditions. 

There is so much to love about this home. The high ceilings and abundant natural light pouring in through the windows create a warm and welcoming space. Some of our favorite moments have been spent on the back deck and the bedroom deck, taking in the stunning views—especially on the Fourth of July, when fireworks light up the sky. We have hosted countless family gatherings and holiday dinners, filling the home with music, laughter, and love. Every year, we put up a 10-foot Christmas tree, sipping cider and mulled wine to the sounds of Motown Christmas classics. Halloween was always a favorite time, as we projected movies onto the garage, gathered around the fire pit for s’mores, and welcomed trick-or-treaters with candy for the kids and wine and beer for the adults. 

The front of the house became our playground, where we played basketball and catch, while the roof became a quiet escape for reading and drawing. Inside, we meditated as a family on the couch, danced and exercised together in the main room during the pandemic, and simply enjoyed being in each other’s company. The fireplace downstairs became a central part of our home, filling the space with warmth and comfort—we used it often, but somehow never got around to using the one upstairs! 

Beyond the house itself, we will deeply miss our neighbors and the wonderful sense of community here. The peacefulness of the neighborhood, our family walks, and being able to peek over the fence to call our kids in for dinner while they swam in the pool are things we will always cherish. The neighborhood pool parties and casual gatherings have made this place even more special, and we know they will continue to bring people together in the years to come. 

We are embarking on a new adventure, moving to Portugal for a slower pace of life while our daughter continues her studies in Washington, DC. Though it is hard to leave, we know this home is ready to welcome its next owners. We hope you create your own beautiful memories here while enjoying all the peace, joy, and warmth this home has to offer. Keep music and laughter alive in these walls. Use the pool often, soak in the bathtub, stay warm by the fireplaces, and savor the beauty of this home and community. Wishing you a future filled with happiness, love, and new adventures.
